Hi,

i need some help finishing an envelope generator using the BlueSynthBuilder parts.
I was looking at the properties of the BSB Object made by Peiman Khosravi and tried to emulate his use of this Object. But without succes.
I would like to be able to draw an envelope with as many points as i like.
Can someone help with this?
ftgen_synthbuilder.blue

thanks
Menno

i forgot to mention that i was looking especially at the code of 'spectralarp', an effect in the Effects Library, made by Peiman.
I must be missing a piece of information about how to use the LineObject widget of the BlueSynthBuilder.
Anyone to the rescue?

Hi Menno.

The lineObject widget can be configured a number of ways depending on
how you are going to use the generated text. So it can be used with
ftgen, or to generate a list to use in python, etc.  I will look at
the attachment link on nabble when I get home later tonight and will
see if I can help.  I don't know if I documented it well, but the may
be info in the ChangeLog file in the blue root directory, and you
might be able to find some information on the mailing list archive.

Will write more after I get a chance to look at the project!

Hi Menno,

I took a quick look and the issue I found was that you had <envelope>
instead of <table_shape_envelope>, so that text did not get replaced
with the values from the LineObject.  Using <table_shape_envelope>
worked to get those values, though after that I did not get any sound.
I'm a bit tired as it is late and I just came home from flying most
of the day, so will have to look further into it tomorrow.

visual envelope

Hi Steven,

i made some progress here in developing a visual envelope:
ftgen_synthbuilder.blue

i think the xMax of the 'table' of the BBS Object has to match the resolution of that of the ftgen.
It's not entirely ready and perhaps you can take a look. At the end of the sine there is a click that can be seen when you freeze the Object. The last sine cycle is not completed no matter how high i set the resolution of the ftgen. When this resolution is set at 128 there is a weird "add-on" to be seen at the end and when augmenting the resolution to a higher amount this last part becomes shorter but never finishes at zero. Hence the click.
What do you think?

greetings
Menno
