wacom bamboo ubuntu 9.10 64bitHello,
I'm just wondering if anybody had any luck with installing Wacom Bamboo on Ubuntu Karmic 64bit. I have been using driver version 8.5.1. I have followed all the steps from howtos and also outlined here http://linuxwacom.sourceforge.net/index.php/howto/ubuntu but with no success. No wacom entries are present in either xinput --list and /proc/bus/input/devices lsmod shows that wacom module is installed but pugging and unplugging does not leave any trace of wacom in /var/log/messages Instead I see Nov 7 11:54:25 ginger-fred kernel: [ 1263.761193] usb 2-1: USB disconnect, address 2 Nov 7 11:54:30 ginger-fred kernel: [ 1267.880044] usb 2-2: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 5 Nov 7 11:54:30 ginger-fred kernel: [ 1268.117213] usb 2-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Best regards D ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial. If its one of the new pen and/or touch bamboos, they aren't supported yet. however there are people on that list that have gotten them sort of working with some driver hacking. It seems if the driver is made to know the devices they will work using the same protocol as old bamboos. -- --Alexia ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
