We have one architecture question:
The situation is that we have a running engine all the time and
several processes in it running.
1.
Some of those processes need to "sleep" and wait until external event happens.
e.g., a new file appears on the server in certain directory.
We were hoping the authors would give us a hint on what is the best
way to do this ?
Currently, we have a FindFileRepeated.class in Java which looks for a
file and sleeps for 10 seconds if the file is not found. We are
running into some issues with this approach, and were wondering what
is the preferred method to wait for an external event in the middle of
a process.
