Hi,
I need to develop a website for a company I'm about to start, and I want to know whether 4D is a good solution for developing a web store. In other words, can you have a basic website (with static pages) that also mixes in a section that contains a database The purpose would be to enable product purchases, downloads, send license keys, get user registrations, and so forth. If 4D could do this, what documentation describes this process. And what tools would I need besides 4D itself? Are there any examples out there? Yes, 4D v11 SQL is fully capable to do this. You can find some excellent examples at http://www.4d.com/support/learning/databasesamplev11.html . I would suggest to call 4D Sells to get more information what exactly you are need to accomplish this. Thanks for the clarification. It seems, however, that most people
would not be able to host the site. Does this mean that I would have to provide my own web server? The web server can be run from either 4D application or 4D Server.
