web.xml with generic servlet name

All,

I'm using xdoclet to generate my web.xml, specifically reading servlet definitions and filter mappings. I have a log of servlets using the same filter and the javadoc comment of that filter is getting fairly large. I'm looking for a way to catch all servlets that match a certain pattern. Any thoughts on if this is possible with xdoclet?

  Thanks,

Please note that this list is for core xdoclet only,
and such questions belong on plugins list ( on sourceforge )

I think it would be possible, but syntax and semantics
shall be carefully designed. I'm open to your proposals
( but please on plugins list )
