with disto to use for bering uclibc development?

hello dev's.

i am looking for a distro that wil give me not to mutch pain to take a
look at  leaf  uclicc development.
most of my machienes use gcc 4.1 and i cant get the buildtool to work
on  them.
please can you point me in the right direction.
all distro's i now all use gcc 4.x now.

Sorry for the late reply;

with the recent changes it should be possible to build buildenv with every
host gcc.
Previously a gcc 3.3.x has been a must-have - which can be installed side by
side with gcc 4.x in every distro I'm aware.

Thanks to NiTro, who made us aware of this fix.
