wrapMesh function in CAE?

Anyone out there have experience w/ this built in python function? I'm having some trouble getting it to work correctly, it wraps a mesh that was in the xy plane around the z axis into a cylindrical shape.

It is not working as the docs say and just wondering if there's any one else using it.
