xulrunner, poppler, gnome and gupnp transitionsHi
Currently there are 4 rather big transitions going on, none of which is ready to transition. Following are the things that currently are an issue or that show why the 4 transitions are coupled: * xulrunner: - iceweasel crashes (#552178)? - freej FTBFS on amd64 (no bug filed yet) - gdl not built on hppa which prevents gnome-python-extras from migrating - webkit not built on kfreebsd-amd64 which prevents kazehakase from migrating - ruby-gnome2 couples transition to gnome and poppler transition * gnome: - evolution not built on kfreebsd* - gdl not built on hppa which prevents anjuta from migrating - devhelp not built on kfreebsd-amd64 which prevents anjuta from migrating - anjuta not yet built on all arches - libgnomekbd not built on mips which prevents control-center from migrating - control-center not yet built on all arches - kdebase-workspace not yet built on mips prevents libxklavier from migrating which prevents libgnomekbd from migrating - opal not yet built on mips which prevents ekiga from migrating - geeqie not yet built on all arches which prevents libchamplain and empathy from migrating - empathy not built on kfreebsd* - gnome-swallow not built on all arches - samba4 (RC bugs: #547280,#525888) prevents openchange and evolution-mapi migration - gnome-bluetooth not built on kfreebsd* - gnome-disk-utility not yet built on all arches - devicekit-disks not yet build on all arches - gnome-main-menu should use libslab otherwise it prevents gnome-mag, gnome-accessibility, hamster-applet and gnome-desktop-environment migration - gnome-session not yet built on all arches - gnome-user-share not yet built on all arches - seahorse-plugins not yet built on all arches - gst-plugins-base0.10 not yet built on all arches - gstreamer0.10 not yet built on all arches - totem not yet built on all arches - yelp not built on kfreebsd-amd64 - seed not built on kfreebsd-amd64 - seed couples transition to gupnp and poppler transition (via gir-repository) - evince couples transition to poppler transition * gupnp - libnice not yet rebuilt/reuploaded * poppler - #553445 All help in fixing the issues is appreciated. As long as these are not solved we won't accept other transitions from happening as it would very probably make it only more complex. Please do check if your package is involved in any of these transitions before uploading so it does not introduce new dependencies. Good news, this is not a bug in iceweasel/xulrunner, but one in gnome2-globalmenu, which is not even in the archive. Re: xulrunner, poppler, gnome and gupnp transitionsHi, and thanks for this much needed inventory. Most of the issues here
were fixed this week. Maybe it’s time for a new review? The suggestion was to modify gammu to build without libusb support on !linux, but there doesn't appear to be any open request to do that. In either case, geoclue also Build-Depends on network-manager-dev, which is not available on kfreebsd-*; removal of the build-dep on those architectures was also requested in #556178.
