yahoo connection failing in Kopete and pidgin

Hello,

I have noticed that since past some weeks I am not able to connect to
Yahoo on Kopete and pidgin. The status says "connecting" in both
applications. Anyone else having this problem?

I have
kopete  4:4.2.2-1
pidgin   2.5.6-1

This is a known problem, due to Yahoo changing their protocol.  You need
at least version 2.5.7 for pidgin. Unstable has 2.5.8, you could install
that. I don't know if this was fixed in kopete.
