I am about to sell off parts on a YT6800P .  If interested advise.  Am trying to recoup expenses in trying to stop an oil leak that would cost too much money.  Body, etc would have gone for more years.

I just bought a 3600 with  snowblower. when I went to put on the deck I found that I was missing the pulley assemble under the PTO. I would be surprised if the 6800 was that much different. I would love to buy it instead of making one. I would be willing to pay $50 plus shipping for it. It bolts on with 4 bolts just below the PTO pulley.

I would love a response my grass is getting tall!

My repair guy told me that he thinks that the pulley assembly is different from the one you want.  The 6800 is a 18 HP mower.  A fabulous unit that worked for decades, but larger than the 3600.

Thanks for gettting back to me. On my Question "How long is the belt for the 3600"(6or 7th posting down)- the Yamaha dealer sent a scamatic of the engine and pulley assemble. Could you give a quick look to see if it is similar. Right now I'm looking at the prospect of building one and I'm not looking forward to that. It is a different size motor 12 to 18 HP but I don't know if the rpm's are different i.e. different size pulleys.

 I believe the 3600 is a single cylinder, horizontal shaft engine, and the 6800 is a twin cylinder, vertical shaft....totally different beasts and pulley hook-ups.
